Description

The effective use of human resources and tangible or intangible assets are key components of an organization’s success in the turbulent environment of the modern world. Such effective use requires the skillful application of the methods and procedures of management science. Of course, in the application of these methods and procedures it is important to effectively reduce the occurrence of organizational pathologies. This book examines these organizational pathologies (corruption, fraud, money laundering, and a shadow economy) from various perspectives including individuals from within the organization, the organization as a whole, and the macrostructure within which the organization functions. Zbyslaw Dobrowolski is a Scientist at the Faculty of Management and Social Communication, Jagiellonian University, Krakw. He is an INTOSAI subject matter expert in the field of audit and author of numerous scientific publications and practical guidelines.
