This is a low cost and revised version of the previously published book in the USA to meet the needs of students and professionals from the Middle East to Malaysia. This book introduces accounting information from users’ perspective. There are many books published in the USA on AIS, emphasizing computerized information systems and discuss less of accounting applications issues. It is difficult to use these books indifferent cultures for using examples from the US culture only. This book incorporates examples and applications from different Asian cultures. This textbook is designed to assist students in understanding the rationales for developing different forms and types of accounting information; the relationships between and among accounting departments and operating departments, and the staff agencies of private and public-sector organizations.
