Description
Person and Character Level Life Coaching and Mentoring is unique in both its starting point and its primary focus. The starting point or ground upon which this approach is based is a structural view of human nature that is informed by psychological and philosophical ideas and a theological perspective. Establishing an understanding of the immaterial soul as the person and then utilizing this to assist others in making positive change, points to the primary focus: virtues and character. This primary focus on the person making progress in virtue development, that then translates into character-based choices affecting the whole person, offers definite advantages in this expanded model with regard to persons: being able to detach from problems (self-distancing) and having confidence in their ability to succeed in making personal changes (self-efficacy).
